The Owen Construction Management group provides a comprehensive range of construction management services for government projects on the municipal, state and federal levels, as well as private sector clients.

For every project, we partner with the owner to function as the owner's representative dedicated to their best interests. We then assist in creating a partnership environment with the total project team including the Designers and Contractors to achieve a successful project.

We provide objective management principles to meet the challenges of controlling costs, adhering to timelines, adapting to regulatory constraints and insuring project quality. As the primary contact for the owner we facilitate effective communication and the smooth flow of work.

We begin each project with a project management plan to organize the administration of each project phase which may include pre-design, design, bidding, construction as well as turn over.

This management includes master schedules and subschedulers that chart the course for the entire project and offer view points for measuring progress. It incorporates systems that track actual costs against established budgets and provides for stringent controls on expenditures.

Each management plan establishes procedures for communication and correspondence to insure the timely accurate exchange of information and avoidance of disputes.

Once a project has started we oversee every aspect of construction. With established goals, we create and sustain the momentum of the project. Each construction element will be supervised for on-schedule compliance as well as adherence to quality and cost specifications. We spot problems before they occur and resolve them. Should the unforeseen happen, we will evaluate the problem and recommend viable solutions.

At Owen, we feel the conclusion of a project is as important as the start. We conscientiously direct the entire closeout process and, when needed, oversee, startup testing or staff training for a seamless move-in.

Earthquake Engineering
Owen Group’s structural division has extensive experience in Earthquake Engineering, both in new construction and in retrofitting existing structures. Our staff has been involved in the evaluation, repair, and retrofit design of over 3,000 existing structures. OWEN Group’s staff are experienced with retrofitting of both buildings and bridges using static and dynamic analysis of structures.
