Bridge Design

Owen Group’s structural division’s principal staff have designed numerous new bridges in accordance to policies and procedures of the FHWA and California Department of Transportation (CALTRANS), and other agencies throughout the United States. Our experience in retrofit design is also extensive. Our work has involved all types of bridges, including concrete, prestressed concrete, steel girder, and steel truss. The retrofit techniques that were employed ranged from superstructure hinge retrofit to base isolation.
