Alameda Street Bridge, Los Angeles, CA

OWEN was commissioned by the County of Los Angeles for the Bridge Retrofit Program. Michael Chegini was the Project Director/Manager, supervising a team of bridge engineers for analysis and retrofit of the following bridge: Alameda Street Bridge Over Compton Creek, Compton

Alameda Bridge is a four span steel girder bridge over Compton Creek. OWEN analyzed the bridge and provided both the retrofit scheme, as well as, bridge replacement scheme to compare the cost. The work included dynamic analysis, as-built analysis, strategy report and PS&E.

OWEN provided the PS&E for the replacement bridge option. The design is based on a concrete box girder structure with 3-span (bent). Services Provided:
